Job Overview The Director, Neonatal Advanced Practice (APPs) provides strategic leadership, fiscal oversight, and operational management for one or more departments. This role is responsible for setting and implementing departmental goals and performance standards, while representing the organization in national and regional professional forums. The director oversees all hospital-employed APPs—primarily in neonatology and perioperative services—and other clinicians as appropriate. Under the direction of the VP of Critical Care Services, Chief Nursing Executive, and Chief Medical Officer, the director leads efforts to advance APP roles across CHCO facilities and contracted locations. This includes oversight of scope of practice, optimization of care models, and promotion of professional development aligned with CHCO’s mission and goals. At least one (1) year of experience must be in a pediatric setting. Work Schedule: Full-time and PRN Pay Rate: $37.00 - $42.00 / Hour – depending on experience JOB SUMMARY: This position to ensure that quality care is delivered through monitoring of staff performance, physician contact, care planning and daily resident observation. This position also provides direct care to residents. All this is done according to nursing standards of practice, standard procedures, and established State and Federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities. JOB DUTIES: Assist routine daily direction and monitor the work of the nursing assistants on the unit, assuring a high standard of nursing care and satisfactory completion of tasks. Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction. Communicate on a regular basis with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, and suggestions of problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, conditions, etc. Documents any change in patient's conditions including but not limited to nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes. Participate in report at the beginning and end of shifts to assure proper information about residents is communicated. Document and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges. Assist in the admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, assure that physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc. are transcribed and communicated according to procedure.
