Duties Description Participate in nursing activities, including the preparation, evaluation, and implementation of nursing care plans to ensure quality patient care Act as health liaison Coordinate and schedule medical follow-up, including completion of consultations. Employees hired for this shift (2pm - 10pm) will qualify for a shift differential (7%) and inconvenience pay (+$575.00). Salary Schedule For The Position Is As Follows $96,147-$105,138- Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18 and Geographic Differential ($20,000). Employees hired for this shift (2 pm – 10 pm) will qualify for a shift differential (7%) and inconvenience pay (+$575.00). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non- competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified. Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment.
