Responsibilities The position of Chief Nurse Anesthetist is responsible and accountable to the overall operations and management of the CRNA staff, including hiring, evaluating, and mentoring. Certified as an APN in the State of NJ is required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a nurse anesthetist is required. Candidate must have sufficient sensory capacity to observe the patient and patient monitors. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively in both academic and health care settings. Candidates must possess the emotional health required for full utilization of their intellectual abilities, the exercise of good judgment, and the ability to effectively function in the face of uncertainties inherent in clinical practice.
