We are a 41-bed unit that recovers patients from a variety of procedures and surgical areas post-anesthesia. Types of procedures include, but are not limited to, IE Neuro surgical, cardiovascular, ortho, urology, plastics, and ENT.

Nursing skills gained on this unit:

Time management
Patient assessment
Prioritization of care
Patient and family education

Qualifications

· Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

· Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.

· Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

· Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

· Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
