Registered Nurse (RN), Procedure Center, PRN

Work Schedule: PRN

Location: Community Hospital

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse will provide general patient care.
Upon admission to the Procedure Center, completes medical history, takes vital signs, check for allergies, start IV’s, etc.
The Registered Nurse will review the patient’s chart becoming familiar with the orders for the patient including but not limited to medications, lab orders and results, radiology orders and results, activity, diet, consultation orders etc.
Upon discharge, prepares patient to be transported to the unit or home, explains the discharge instructions, and verifies that a responsible adult will transport the patient to his/her home.

Reviews chart to verify Medication orders, lab requests, radiology orders, consults, etc. are properly transcribed and have actually been ordered.
Completes appropriate paper work on new admissions including signed consents, complete history, patient belongings clearly documented, and clarifies plan of care.
When the procedure is completed, document in the patient report the patient status, including Patient identifiers, assessment, the situation including code status recent changes and response to treatments, safety issues including allergies, alerts, falls isolations etc., any actions needed, what is planned next – what is the plan.
Insures that timely, accurate, and complete billable supply charges and billing information are forwarded to the HRIS.
Reviews Medication Reconciliation Case Report related to patient home medications for assigned patients.
Monitors the patient per department standards for any changes in condition. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient. Responds to the direction of the physician.

Requirements:

Basic Life Support
Registered Nurse
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 90 days of hire)
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of general nursing and critical care courses.

This position's pay range is: $35.00- $42.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increases, market adjustments, recognition bonuses and other forms of discretionary compensation may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
