Cuero Regional Hospital is searching for FT LVN at Cuero Medical Clinic.
The LVN is responsible for the direct and indirect care of the clinic patients. The LVN assists the physician and/or mid-level provider providing care to patients. This includes: obtaining vital signs; chief complaint; obtaining the patient's history and medication history; reconciling medications; assisting during exams and/or minor procedures; returning phone calls to patients, pharmacies or anyone else who participates in the patient's care; refilling medications via fax and/or electronically per provider's orders; performing patient education; thorough documentation in the electronic medical record as well as documenting in IMMTRAC2 as needed; administering medications via correct route per provider's order and documenting in the patient's EHR; obtaining prior authorizations on medications, procedures, tests ordered by providers, and referrals; and referring patients to specialists per provider's orders; faxing papers to appropriate places per provider. Other duties include keeping the office and patient care areas orderly and informing the correct person when inventory on supplies is running low so the supplies may be ordered.
Qualifications:
Current Texas LVN license. Current BLS certification. Clinical experience and great customer service skills. Team player. Computer/typing skills. Medical knowledge in pediatric patients and vaccines. Electronic medical system experience.
