We are new to Hood County this year, having served seniors in Tarrant County & greater Fort Worth since 2005. To help address the ongoing shortage we will be selectively adding "salaried" caregivers to our teams in Hood and Denton counties next year.
That person will work cases in Hood & Parker counties (Granbury, Godley, Joshua, Cresson, Aledo) and be expected to essentially be on standby but would earn a minimum number of hours per week (36) at high hourly rate commensurate with their experience.
The desired candidate is a licensed CNA that is flexible (on days, shift times & lengths, incl. evenings, weekends), reliable, versatile, i.e. skilled in a variety of case types, willing to work on short notice (few hrs) and drive up to 25 miles, exhibits our agency's core values (positive, caring, kind, collaborative). Comfort Keepers pays more for bedcare, weekends ($1.50 more than base), and rural (often VA) cases. We also have a competitive benefits offering.

Caregiver Job Responsibilities:
- Provides friendly companionship and engagement
- Assistance with daily activities including dressing guidance, meal preparation, medication reminders, dishes laundry and light housekeeping (IADLs)
- Personal Care including bathing, dressing, mobility/transfers, toileting/incontinence care, feeding and grooming/hygiene (ADLs)
- Provides transportation to doctor’s appointments, drug store, beauty shops, etc. (running errands)
Caregiver Job Requirements:
- CNA license
- 5 yrs. min. Home Care and/or Personal Care experience
- Passion for the role and genuine desire to help others
- Reliable transportation with a willingness to drive 20+ miles
- Up-to-date car insurance in your name, vehicle registration and valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass background checks and supply work related references
- Smart phone (for our scheduling app, GPS, SMS)
