Job Summary

***CRNA-Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist post at Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System (SMHCS)/First Physician Group (FPG).

Full Description:

Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates:

Staffing model planned 25-30 Anesthesiologists, and 85-100 CRNAs covering 62 sites including Cath Lab, IR, Endo.
Average anesthesia volume 40,000 cases annually and growing
Diverse mix of cases including Cardiac, Endo, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, OB, Oncology, Ortho, Thoracic, Vascular, and Trauma.
Specialty Compensation increase to base salary for Cardiac, Trauma, & OB experience with documented case logs.
Yearly retention $10,000 on work anniversary

INCENTIVE/BENEFITS PACKAGE:

Top of market compensation package based on years of experience
W2 position with Health Care System that has an unparalleled history of quality care delivery
Start Date Bonus and Relocation assistance available.
Premium pay calculation if clinician works past scheduled shift. Premium calculation also applies if clinician opts to pick-up extra shifts.
Full array of benefits offered including health, dental, vision, Long-term/short-term disability, 10 weeks CME/PTO, and 403(b) with a 4% match.
280 hours PTO (7 weeks) + 40 hours CME
As an employee of a public, State of Florida organization, Physicians are entitled to sovereign immunity
Eligible to participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master's or Doctorate degree (DNP or DNAP) of Nurse Anesthesia accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs
APRN State of Florida Licensure - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.
National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
American Heart Association BLS/PALS/ACLS - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, and the public. Prefer ability to to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Prefer demonstrated clinical competency in administration of anesthesia, patient assessment skills, and documentation.
- Prefer ability to remain calm under pressure and during crisis situations. Prefer demonstrated healthy coping mechanisms to combat stress, as well as emotional and physical fatigue.
- Prefer demonstrated strong attention to detail to ensure dosage and administration of correct anesthetics to patients.
- Prefer demonstrated adherence to professional standards of care and institutional standards, and compliance with quality measures.
- Prefer demonstrated respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
- Prefer knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives; emergency protocols and guidelines; health care administration systems, governmental regulations and compliance requirements; and current computer systems and applications.
