Job Summary and QualificationsPerform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery. Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement. Maintain high-quality age specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population.

What qualifications you will need:Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas or compact license Associate Degree required, BSN within 24 months of hire One year of Pediatric CVICU, CICU, Telemetry required in an acute are hospital in the last three years
