What You Will Do
Focus on Quality & Performance Improvement.
Manage publicly reported and other significant quality measures and performance improvement in collaboration with administrative, clinical and physician leadership for their assigned service line.
Perform concurrent review of medical records for core measures and other clinical indicators based on established definitions and provides real time feedback and intervention with clinical staff and physicians to ensure optimal quality patient care.
Abstract records based on established indicators of the medical staff for peer review for assigned populations; facilitates the peer review process, ongoing physician performance review and decision support for medical staff reappointment.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills
- Minimum of 5 years direct patient care experience within in an acute care setting.
- Requires attention to detail, analytical skills, excellent communication skills and intermediate computer skills.
- CA RN required.
- Training and application of MIDAS or like-data based strongly preferred.
- Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in quality improvement methods and tools preferred.
- Knowledge of Core Measures or other publicly reported quality metrics preferred.
- Familiarity with Joint Commission standards related to Performance Improvement and/or Medical Staff Quality/Peer review.
