RN Outpatient Full-time

Job Description:

3. Works in conjunction with Director(s) of Clinic Operations, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and the Director of Quality Services to oversee physician/provider measure selection, data collection, analysis, and reporting related to local, regional, and national quality benchmarks.

4. Understanding of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations as related to outpatient regulations, quality, and risk.

5. Assists in required reporting of outpatient and clinic quality data to regulatory agencies.

6. Understanding of Joint Commission requirements as related to outpatient and clinic departments.

7. Identify and interpret data to determine positive and negative trends as well as gaps in quality performance in outpatient and clinic areas.

8. Utilizes data to drive process improvement in outpatient and clinic areas.

9. Understanding and usage of Green Belt, Plan Do Check Act, Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and other strategies to assist in process improvement efforts with clinic and outpatient leadership.

10. Work closely with Inpatient Quality Coordinator to collaborate between outpatient, clinic and inpatient departments when needed.

11. Review risk and patient safety data, occurrence reports and safety surveys for outpatient and clinic areas for opportunities for improvement and collaborate with clinic leadership.

12. Meet regularly with clinic and outpatient leadership to review quality data, trends, and outcomes.

13. Assists in planning Quality Services metrics to be utilized for provider contracts along with clinic leadership.

14. Participates in patient experience initiatives and is knowledgeable in-patient experience data as related to outpatient and clinic departments.

15. Assists with creation and updates of clinic and outpatient policies and procedures as needed.

16. Oversees Value Based Contracts/Programs and collaborates with clinic leadership as well as coding/finance on a regular basis regarding quality data and financial incentives related to contracts/programs.

17. Participates in local program learning sessions, webinars and formal educational offerings as related to position.

18. Assesses gaps in organizational and departmental performance and recommends improvement methods and processes to address.

19. Work closely with identified projects to develop and deploy work plans, improve patient safety and guide through change management.

Summary GENERAL SUMMARY: Conducts day-to-day activities for the clinical, financial and utilization coordination of the patient’s hospital experience.
