RN Position Purpose: Responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients. Makes staff assignments as directed if serving in a Charge Nurse Role. Position Summary: The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the planning, delivery, and management of direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice. The RN administers medications and treatments as prescribed, monitors responses, and reports any changes in condition. They are responsible for accurately documenting all aspects of patient care using electronic medical records (EMR) and work closely with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust individualized care plans. Education for patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions is a key part of the RN's role. In emergencies, the RN responds quickly and appropriately, initiating life-saving interventions when needed. The RN delegates responsibilities to LPNs, CNAs, and other healthcare team members as appropriate, while remaining accountable for overall patient care. Adherence to infection control protocols, safety procedures, and hospital policies is required at all times. The RN also participates in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills. Qualifications: The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and maintains a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
