LPN Position Purpose: WEEKNIGHTS SHIFT - 7PM - 7AM - MONDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY Provides direct patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients under the supervision of an RN. Assists in new staff orientation and training and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient care needs. CNA - SHOWER TEAM

About the Role: A Shower CNA is a specialized Certified Nursing Assistant responsible for the personal hygiene and bathing of residents in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility. While the primary focus of this position is showering and bathing, the Shower CNA may also perform standard CNA duties as part of a resident's overall care plan. This position requires compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life for patients and supporting their recovery process. Minimum Qualifications: Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of practice. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic life support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in long-term care or rehabilitation. Additional certifications in specialized areas of resident care, such as dementia care or palliative care. Responsibilities: Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide full personal care after bathing such as hair care, nail care and dressing. Help residents with mobility, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment. Monitor residents for any changes in skin conditions and report to the supervising nurse. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring proper sanitation. Accurately chart the care provided and any resident observations in the facility's electronic health records. Skills: The required skills for this role include strong communication abilities, which are essential for effectively interacting with residents and healthcare team members. Attention to detail is critical, as you will need to accurately monitor and document resident conditions. Compassion and empathy are vital in providing emotional support to residents, helping them feel valued and cared for. Time management skills will enable you to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred skills, such as specialized training, can enhance your ability to address specific resident needs and improve overall care quality.

Position Summary Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)care for people who are sick, injured, convalescent or disabled. Under general supervision, they deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy, collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. The RN or LPN effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. The nature of the direction and supervision required for this position varies by State and job setting. Dialysis Nurses provide care and support for patients suffering from acute and chronic renal (kidney) failure. They assist pre- and during dialysis procedures, following physician orders. Position Responsibilities Dialysis Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of Dialysis Nurses include (but are not limited to): ƒ Primes dialyzer and bloodlines ƒ Records patients’ medical information and vital signs ƒ Readies dialysis equipment ƒ Oversees the dialysis treatment from start to finish ƒ Cannulates accesses ƒ Demonstrates the ability to remove femoral shealths & administer medications, including thrombolytics ƒ Cleans and dresses permanent and temporary catheters ƒ Monitors patient and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records information ƒ Identifies irregular dialysis reactions and notifies appropriate medical team members ƒ Secures blood works ƒ Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration of medication, if needed ƒ Maintains medical inventory ƒ Provides pre- and post procedure care to patients within the Hemodialysis Unit ƒ Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting Requirements: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing and currently licensed as a RN or LPN by the state.
