About Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center

The Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center (EPCC) takes an interdisciplinary approach that provides strategies for the child’s biological, psychological and social treatment at the same time. All of our staff go through many hours of training to each play their important part in the approach. Youth are learning by two main methods, modeling and teaching, through therapeutic relationships established with the treatment staff.

 
Salary Statement

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $109,304.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

 

A Day in the Life:

Program Administration Support 

  • Maintain accurate records to reflect and assume accountability for clinical decisions and actions. 
  • Provide consultation through collaboration with a variety of health care professionals. 
  • Develop educational programs for individuals and groups appropriate to health problems, level of functioning, emotional needs, and patient characteristics. 

Program Management Support 

  • Obtain patient health histories, exams, and establish diagnoses. 
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies. 
  • Perform indicated procedures and therapeutic/corrective measures. 
  • Refer patients to appropriate health care providers. 
  • Prescribe medication and treatment within practice guidelines. 
  • Provide initial emergency care such as CPR and alert appropriate emergency providers. 

Research & Clinical Advancement 

  • Lead and direct nursing staff in the design, coordination, and evaluation of research to improve clinical practice and delivery of health care. 
  • Direct or participate in the oversight and application of quality research assurance projects.

Experience & Education 

  • Must possess a graduate-level degree in nursing from an accredited college. 
  • Must hold a current Nurse Practitioner license from the State of Indiana. 
  • Must hold a valid DEA and CSR registration for Indiana.

Radiation Oncology Full Time 88369BR Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner 2 will work as part of a Team at the Mission Bay and Mt Zion locations within the UCSF Department of Radiation Oncology in a multidisciplinary environment working with Radiation Oncologists, Residents, Registered Nurses, Medical Physicists, Radiation Therapists, Dieticians, and Social Workers in collaboration with referring medical oncologists and surgeons. The NPII reports to and is managed by an APP Manager while working under the supervision of Faculty/Attending Providers. The patient populations may vary but will focus primarily on Solid Tumor cancers. The incumbent will provide care to patients including taking histories; conducting physical exams; document findings and actions as indicated, complex wound care within the department and assist with planning of the course of patients’ treatments for adult populations. The NPII will perform site-specific patient teaching; prepare patients for simulation; may assist with contouring structures for treatment planning; medicate patients as needed; order medications for symptom relief; assist in managing patients in follow-up; and address quality of life issues not limited to skin/wound care, speech/swallowing, adequate nutritional intake; and psycho-social issues. In addition, the NPII will answer patient phone calls, emails, My Chart messages, questions and perform other duties as required such as attending tumor boards, participate in department, and medical center committees as needed.
