Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in patient rooming protocols, conduct patient intake,measure vital signs, and assist the care team with treatments and procedures as directed.
  • Manage phone communications, maintain patient records, and assist with supply inventory, ordering, and stocking.
  • Ensure treatment rooms are prepared for examinations and the clinical area is clean and well-organized.
  • List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, including follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider.
  • Transcribe patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

  • At least one year of experience in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group setting.
  • Proficiency includes administering and understanding vaccines, injections, point-of-care testing, and newborn and toddler wellness visits.
