About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across diverse healthcare settings. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to promote patient health and recovery. You will collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. This role demands a compassionate approach to patient interaction, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall healthcare experience. This position is for a full-time night shift in the ICU.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Obtains/maintains ACLS and PALS within one year of hire in the ICU.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform clinical assessments and administer treatments safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of med/surg nursing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in patient education or mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify health status and care needs.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient conditions and treatment goals.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide critical interventions as necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with best nursing practices.
