*This position would require possible coverage to other Convenient Care locations in Palmer, Springfield, Northampton and Westfield.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Baystate Health, Medical Assistants perform an important role providing care to our patients. They take vital signs, perform patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation and patient discharge. Our supportive work environment allows you to provide optimal patient care.

SCHEDULE:

Full-time, 40 hours a week
8:30am-7:00pm weekday hours (3 days a week - M/T/W schedule)
Every other weekend/holiday 7:30am-4:00pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED
CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association

LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

MAI & MAII- requires graduate of accredited MA program Or minimum of 3 years current relevant medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting. (evaluated by hiring manager for level hiring for)

MAIII- requires graduate of accredited MA program with minimum of 3 years’ current medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting OR demonstrated competencies of MA III (evaluated by hiring manager) with minimum 5 years’ current relevant medical assistant experience in a medical practice setting

MAIV- Only through promotional career ladder internally. Minimum of two years as an MAIII at a Baystate Health with demonstrated competencies for promotion to MA IV. Graduate of an accredited MA program and registered/certified by a third-party credential body.

What you will do Maintains excellent clinical competency by adhering to the standard clinical expectations for Riverside Medical Group. Prepares patient for examination by obtaining vital signs proficiently (including manual vital signs when mechanical devices are not available).
