Summary GENERAL SUMMARY The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled individual that works in a healthcare setting to support the non-clinical and clinical functions of the service area. LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS Current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant preferred, or military medical experience with MA certification/registration required. Current CPR certification required. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistants (MOA, MAA, MA). One to two years of experience in a related healthcare field preferred. Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing. WORKING CONDITIONS Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures.
