Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego’s campus includes the O’Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit).

This is a full-time, 12-hour shift position working varied days M-F at Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest.

Join our Scripps team as a Cath Lab Recovery RN responsible for providing direct patient care including assessment and planning and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. You will serve as the Care Unit expert and provide functional direction to the care team. Our team remains committed to professional development, best care practices and making patients feel comfortable with and informed about their treatment.

Required

  • One year of cardiac ICU, Cath or EP Lab, PACU or PCU experience with knowledge of cardiac drips required
  • BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Experience with care of the critical cardiac patient and care of the post-cardiac surgical/procedure patient

Preferred Experience/Education/Training

  • 3 years cardiac ICU/PACU experience preferred
  • Knowledge of patient-focused care delivery
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Experience with radial bands, groin management, and Femostops
