It is also a private teaching hospital for trauma medicine. Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla has a dedicated trauma floor with an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), telemetry and medical/surgical bed capability. Experts from all disciplines come together as a team to provide immediate, comprehensive, and compassionate care. We collaborate with specialists every step of the way, from the scene of the injury through hospital care, discharge, follow-up care and rehabilitation.
Join Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Trauma Med/Surg Unit where you will provide comprehensive care of trauma med/surg and post-surgical med/surg patients at a level 1 trauma hospital. Trauma is a 22-bed unit with a 4:1 or 5:1 nurse to patient ratio per California Title 22 guidelines. It is a Model Care Unit that is fast-paced, and our care team work cohesively in this dynamic environment.

- One (1) year of recent RN experience (6 months in Inpatient Setting such as Acute Care, LTAC, Acute Rehab or SNF)
- California Registered Nurse License
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- One (1) year of recent RN experience in Acute Care or LTAC
