Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla has a dedicated trauma floor with an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), telemetry and medical/surgical bed capability. We collaborate with specialists every step of the way, from the scene of the injury through hospital care, discharge, follow-up care and rehabilitation.

Join Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Trauma Med/Surg Unit where you will provide comprehensive care of trauma med/surg and post-surgical med/surg patients at a level 1 trauma hospital. Trauma is a 22-bed unit with a 4:1 or 5:1 nurse to patient ratio per California Title 22 guidelines. It is a Model Care Unit that is fast-paced, and our care team work cohesively in this dynamic environment.

As an RN, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice including:

  • Assessment, planning and implementing care.
  • Evaluate patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
  • With primary responsibility for the patients' care, you will be amongst a team that is dedicated to creating an environment that is focused on restoring function and optimizing care, while maintaining the respect, autonomy, and individuality of every patient.
  • You will have the support of your team to ensure optimal patient care and success in your role.

This is a 12-hour Full Time, Night Shift, position located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

Required Qualifications
