This is a full-time position in the Pre-Post/ and PACU department working 8 hour shifts and 36 hours weekly. While this position is primarily day shift, schedules are dictated by the surgery schedule and needs of the department. The position reports to the Director of Surgical Services. Call rotation could occur, and the applicant must be within 45 minutes of the facility at all times while on call.

Qualifications

Currently licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
Pre-Post, PACU, and Infusion experience required.
2-year Medical-Surgical experience in an acute care facility required.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) required
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire required
Infusion Therapy required
ONS chemotherapy immunotherapy certification required
Maintain competency in all areas of the pre/post department.
Other specialty training as assigned.
PICC line placement experience preferred
ACLS required.
PALS required.

Follow all regulatory, quality, and safety standards including infection control and aseptic technique
Administer medications safely and accurately
Perform and document thorough assessments and reassessments
Assisting with patient lifting and transport
