We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Rehab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Cardiac Rehab RN will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from cardiac events, including heart attacks, surgeries, and other cardiovascular conditions. The primary goal is to support patients in regaining and maintaining their cardiovascular health through a holistic and patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms during rehabilitation sessions to ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Design safe and effective exercise programs in line with physician recommendations.
  • Educate patients and their families about lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and risk factor management.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to help patients cope with the psychological effects of cardiac illness.
  • Report any concerns or adverse events to the healthcare team promptly.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • PALS 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Previous acute care hospital experience; preferred.
  • Moderate Sedation competency completed within 30 days upon hire.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
