Aspire Senior Living of Platte City is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse for a Full-Time Director of Nursing (DON) role to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the RN Director of Nursing (DON) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our skilled nursing facility, ensuring high-quality care and services to our residents. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the nursing department, including staff scheduling, orientation, and development

  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of care and services

  • Conduct regular rounds and assessments to ensure high-quality care and identify areas for improvement

  • Develop and manage budgets and expense reports for the nursing department

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for growth and development

  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to create a welcoming and inclusive environment

Requirements:

  • Experienced as a Director of Nursing (DON) or in a similar leadership role

  • Current RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of Missouri

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

  • Commitment to delivering exceptional care and services to seniors

Job Description​ Navigates surgical oncology patients through their diagnosis and treatment ensuring timely services. Meet with patient and families to provide emotional support, education and guidance to all patients. Provide medical information, education and review of reports and knowledge of community resources.
