About Us - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Located on the second floor at Freeman Hospital West
We have a 31 bed ICU and a 7 bed CVICU.

What You’ll Do
In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.
Requirements
1.AHA ACLS within 90 days.
2.AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
3.AHA PALS Provider within 180 days.
4.CardioVascular Disease CEU hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date.
5.Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) training within 1 year of hire.
6.Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
7.If no experience as an RN or LPN in a hospital setting or it has been more than 5 years since last worked in a hospital setting, nurses must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days.
8.Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Training (IABP) within 1 year of hire.
9.NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days.
10.Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 180 days.
11.PALS Provider within 180 days
12.RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
13.Satisfactory completion of Freeman Health System "Critical Care RN Orientation Checklist" Competency
14.Stroke CEU Hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date.
15.Trauma CEU Hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date.
16.Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 365 days.
