We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team. The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall management and direction of our nursing department, including nursing care, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives.

DON Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans that meet the unique needs of our residents

  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our residents

  • Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff to ensure optimal performance and retention

  • Develop and manage budgets for the nursing department

  • Foster a positive and respectful work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and professional growth

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in patient care and safety

DON Requirements:

  • Experience in a healthcare leadership role

  • Current RN license in the state of Illinois

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care facilities

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
