UW Medical Center-Northwest - Inpatient Endoscopy has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 4x10 shift schedule
  • Primarily day shifts, Monday-Friday, with on call responsibilities for off hours cases
  • On call responsibilities include one weeknight per week and one weekend per month

About Our Endoscopy Unit

  • We are a high-volume inpatient procedural unit
  • We have 3 rooms and see close to 24 patients each day
  • RNs provide procedural support for therapeutic, diagnostic, and screening GI services and bronchoscopies

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Assist providers during endoscopic procedures
  • Provide patient care before, during, and after conscious sedation
  • Educate patients
  • Administer medication
  • Use and maintain endoscopic equipment
  • Help manage emergencies and complications
  • Promote efficient patient flow by assisting with patient admission, phone triage, and record keeping

Requirements

  • 2 years of recent procedural or gastroenterology nursing experience
  • BLS
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
