Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists in directing and supervising the implementation of the resident care plan, including but not limited to: ensuring use of appropriate safety devices, positioning and toileting plans, infection control measures.

  • The Registered Nurse Supervisor assists in coordinating and supervising all services on assigned units to achieve a comfortable and homelike atmosphere for the residents.

  • The RN Supervisor rounds on nursing units that includes but is not limited to: checking in staff and residents, greeting all new admissions.

  • The RN Supervisor facilitates communication between shift staff and unit managers/DON/ADON.

 

Shift hours: 7a-3p

Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions. Support residents and families in understanding care plans and addressing concerns. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure nursing practices are in compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and professional standards. Participate in audits, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain infection control and safety protocols throughout the facility. Monitor and report incidents or changes in resident conditions per facility policy. Qualifications: Current RN license in the state of employment, in good standing Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) Minimum 2 years of RN experience in long-term care or similar setting Supervisory or charge nurse experience required Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred, depending on facility) Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation Knowledge of nursing home regulations and resident rights Schedule: Days 7a-7p, Nights 7p-7a
