Floating Director of Nursing – West Coast Region (WA & OR)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floating Director of Nursing (DON) to support our skilled nursing communities across Washington and Oregon. This unique regional role provides leadership, mentorship, and operational support to facilities in need of interim or transitional nursing leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide interim leadership as Director of Nursing across multiple facilities within WA and OR.

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations, policies, and standards of care.

  • Mentor and support facility nursing teams to strengthen clinical practices and outcomes.

  • Partner with Administrators and interdisciplinary teams to drive quality initiatives, survey readiness, and positive resident outcomes.

  • Assist with onboarding and training new Directors of Nursing as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in Washington and/or Oregon (multi-state licensure strongly preferred).

  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including DON-level responsibility in skilled nursing/long-term care.

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations for SNFs.

  • Ability to travel frequently within Washington and Oregon.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.
