The Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale County Health Departments is seeking qualified registered nurses to join our clinical teams. Candidates will function as a part of a multidisciplinary team of Public Health professionals providing excellent customer service and clinical care in District Public Health clinics and community based events. Candidate will: perform comprehensive assessment of clients’ health care needs; develop comprehensive plans of care for clients; administer treatments, medications, vaccines and preventive and maintenance care to patients and families, consistent with plan of care and/or physician treatment plan; provide health teaching and instruction to individuals, families and groups; provides school-related health care services; provide services in an expanded nursing role in Women’s Health, STD, Refugee and Child Health programs; provide immunizations and oversee LPN staff provision of immunizations; perform other duties as assigned to meet organizational needs and support overall community health and wellness.Nursing Degree Transcripts, CPR Certifications & A copy of your GA Nursing License MUST be attached with this application


Minimum:

Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. Note: No experience required.


Preferred:

One year of experience as a Registered Nurse. One year of Public Health nursing setting. Bilingual – any language (Spanish preferred). Experience utilizing an electronic health record and MS office. Experience in a customer service role.

This position in an Hourly RN position with the SURGE Clinic. This is an hourly role and may work up to 29 hours per week with a minimum of 24 hours per week.
