This position in an Hourly RN position with the SURGE Clinic. This is an hourly role and may work up to 29 hours per week with a minimum of 24 hours per week. 


A copy of your nursing degree (Bachelors/Associates) transcript, your GA nursing license & CPR certification must be attached with this application to be considered for employment.

https://dds.georgia.gov/georgia-licenseid/general-license-topics/how-do-i-mvr-driving-historyUnder broad supervision and in accordance with standard clinical protocols, provide nursing support at GNR’s SURGE Sexual Health clinic. Works collaboratively with STI and HIV Prevention programs to provide holistic disease control and prevention services. Works collaboratively with the clinical team including MAs, Lab Techs, NPs, RNs, and physicians to prioritize the provision of care for a diverse patient population. Ensures excellence in customer service and the provision of culturally competent care. Works to meet overall operational and programmatic needs. Day to day duties will include: preforming full health assessments for STI and PrEP patients; obtaining appropriate clinical specimens; preforming phlebotomy; administering/prescribing treatment under protocol; providing prevention education; preforming other duties as assigned to meet programmatic and clinical needs. The role may involve clinical care provision at community based events on nights and weekends in conjunction with Prevention team staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year ofhire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. Note: No experience required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in Public Health. 1 or more years of experience working as a Registered Nurse. Experience working in an infectious disease clinic and/or with STIs/HIV. Experience performing HIV/STD prevention outreach activities or counseling. Experience with PrEP. GNR Public Health does not accept resumes without a fully completed employment application.
