Your key responsibilities will include: Performing basic health assessments (Vitals, blood pressure, blood glucose, etc) Administering immunizations per ACIP Guidelines Providing health education and referrals as needed for further care Utilize nursing protocol to treat as assess patients Support community response efforts during public health emergencies or emergent public health needs Operating the mobile unit/vehicles as needed Assist with other clinical duties as needed to support overall organizational goals Schedule & Flexibility: Applicants may work up to 29 hours each week Flexibility in schedule will be required as our mobile team works to meet the needs of the community with many events during non-traditional hours including weekends. Our clinics operate M-F 8-5 Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year ofhire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. Note: No experience required. Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of experience working as a Registered Nurse. One year or more of experience working in Public Health. Proficiency with use of Electronic Medical Records. Bi-Lingual/Multi-Lingual (English & Spanish preferred). Experience doing health outreach in a nursing capacity. Flexibility in scheduling. This position in an Hourly RN position with the SURGE Clinic. This is an hourly role and may work up to 29 hours per week with a minimum of 24 hours per week. Works collaboratively with STI and HIV Prevention programs to provide holistic disease control and prevention services. Works collaboratively with the clinical team including MAs, Lab Techs, NPs, RNs, and physicians to prioritize the provision of care for a diverse patient population. Ensures excellence in customer service and the provision of culturally competent care. Works to meet overall operational and programmatic needs. Day to day duties will include: preforming full health assessments for STI and PrEP patients; obtaining appropriate clinical specimens; preforming phlebotomy; administering/prescribing treatment under protocol; providing prevention education; preforming other duties as assigned to meet programmatic and clinical needs. The role may involve clinical care provision at community based events on nights and weekends in conjunction with Prevention team staff. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year ofhire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
