Assesses patient’s condition, reviews records, administers medication and reports reactions to drugs. Administers vaccines and performs general lab duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Minimum: Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college AND current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND CPR certification AND completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN. No experience required. Preferred: Experience working in pediatrics. Experience working in Public Health. Your work will take you into the heart of the community including schools, health fairs, businesses, faith-based organizations, and more! Your key responsibilities will include: Performing basic health assessments (Vitals, blood pressure, blood glucose, etc) Administering immunizations per ACIP Guidelines Providing health education and referrals as needed for further care Utilize nursing protocol to treat as assess patients Support community response efforts during public health emergencies or emergent public health needs Operating the mobile unit/vehicles as needed Assist with other clinical duties as needed to support overall organizational goals Schedule & Flexibility: Applicants may work up to 29 hours each week Flexibility in schedule will be required as our mobile team works to meet the needs of the community with many events during non-traditional hours including weekends. Our clinics operate M-F 8-5 Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year ofhire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. Note: No experience required. Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of experience working as a Registered Nurse. One year or more of experience working in Public Health.
