Join our growing team at GNR Public Health as an Hourly Registered Nurse for the Mobile Health Team and help us deliver care that truly moves with our community!

A Copy of 3 year Driving Record, Official College Transcript, GA Nursing License & CPR Certification must be submitted with application to be considered for this position

As part of our multidisciplinary public health team, you’ll provide excellent clinical care and outstanding customer service in both our district clinics and community based events.

Your work will take you into the heart of the community including schools, health fairs, businesses, faith-based organizations, and more!

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing basic health assessments (Vitals, blood pressure, blood glucose, etc)
  • Administering immunizations per ACIP Guidelines
  • Providing health education and referrals as needed for further care
  • Utilize nursing protocol to treat as assess patients
  • Support community response efforts during public health emergencies or emergent public health needs
  • Operating the mobile unit/vehicles as needed
  • Assist with other clinical duties as needed to support overall organizational goals 

Schedule & Flexibility: 

  • Applicants may work up to 29 hours each week
  • Flexibility in schedule will be required as our mobile team works to meet the needs of the community with many events during non-traditional hours including weekends. Our clinics operate M-F 8-5

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year ofhire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification. Note: No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least one year of experience working as a Registered Nurse. One year or more of experience working in Public Health. Proficiency with use of Electronic Medical Records. Bi-Lingual/Multi-Lingual (English & Spanish preferred). Experience doing health outreach in a nursing capacity. Flexibility in scheduling.
