The Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing care to patients within their assigned unit and is responsible for patient assessments, planning, supervising, interventions, and evaluations designed to prevent complications of physical disability, restoring optimal functioning, and helping the patient adapt to an altered lifestyle while integrating company values into daily practice.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Implements identified plan of care and contributes to the appropriate development, maintenance, and update of that plan identifying problems and potential risks and contributing to corrective action plans.
  • Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions completing all documentation in a timely manner. Maintaining patient clinical records and reports in accordance with Hospital policy and established standards.
  • Based on needs assessment, coordinates and delegates care and treatments with the interdisciplinary team notifying s proper personnel of real or potential problems with patient issues and quality and/or appropriateness of care. Provides timely and adequate supervision to LPNs/LVNs and Nursing Aides/Techs. Performs supervisory Charge Nurse responsibilities as assigned.
  • Identifies patient and family learning needs. Teaches patient and families using effective teaching methods and documents accordingly.
  • Provides timely assistance with urgent and emergency situations, i.e., Code Blue and Rapid Response.
  • May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.

Requirements for consideration:

  • Successful completion of accredited Registered Nursing program required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
  • One (1) year recent experience preferred. Acute care setting preferred.
  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Current CPR Certification required. ACLS certification preferred. Required if in Charge Nurse role.
  • CRRN certification preferred.
