With CNA/HHA assistance and no more than 4 patients, this is a break from the stress and unsafe ratios typically seen in larger facilities! Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities: Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures. Provides evidence-based care and assesses the effectiveness of the treatment to ensure that the patient receives the most comprehensive, high-quality, and appropriate care possible Provides nursing care and prescribed treatments for patients according to the physician's plan of care as supervised by RN while following confidentiality and professional boundaries Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical Manager. Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders. Performing client assessments as necessary. Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as hygiene/bathing, health monitoring, companionship, etc. Teach and counsel the patient and family/significant others regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the patient at home Skills Strong LPN experience is preferred, with a minimum of 1 year as an LPN required Experience with pediatrics, adolescents and/or adults, & individuals with developmental disabilities, neurological disorders, and endocrine disorders preferred Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong interpersonal skills Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of data entry Compassionate with the ability to handle changing situations well Qualifications: A current license as a Licensed Practice Nurse in the state of Florida.
