We are looking for reliable, experienced LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses) to care for clients in a small facility in Valrico, FL. With CNA/HHA assistance and no more than 4 patients, this is a break from the stress and unsafe ratios typically seen in larger facilities! We are seeking LPNs who work in a professional and considerate manner, while maintaining an enjoyable presence. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. LPN professionals must be qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic and skilled care to those who need it. We are seeking to fill the following positions: 1 PT night shift position, 24hrs per week (additional hours available depending on schedule needs). Shifts are typically 12 hours. This position can open you up to more cases as received by the agency should you be interested. Work at other facilities or private duty/home health cases! Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities: Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures. Provides evidence-based care and assesses the effectiveness of the treatment to ensure that the patient receives the most comprehensive, high-quality, and appropriate care possible Provides nursing care and prescribed treatments for patients according to the physician's plan of care as supervised by RN while following confidentiality and professional boundaries Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical Manager. Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders. Performing client assessments as necessary. Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as hygiene/bathing, health monitoring, companionship, etc. Teach and counsel the patient and family/significant others regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the patient at home Skills Strong LPN experience is preferred, with a minimum of 1 year as an LPN required Experience with pediatrics, adolescents and/or adults, & individuals with developmental disabilities, neurological disorders, and endocrine disorders preferred Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong interpersonal skills Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of data entry Compassionate with the ability to handle changing situations well Qualifications: A current license as a Licensed Practice Nurse in the state of Florida. Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma. Computer skills: prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred. The hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. You must be cleared through onboarding & able to start by next week as this is an urgent care need. You MUST have at least one year of experience with direct patient care.
