This program is designed to build the foundational skills necessary to succeed in the highly specialized orthopedic surgical environment at HSS. The Surgical Technologist Residency Program is a twelve-month structured program from the date of hire. Residents will work directly under the supervision of the Professional Development team and experienced clinical preceptors , receiving individualized clinical instruction, mentorship, and competency-based training. The first six months of the program will focus on completing clinical orientation. Months six through twelve will emphasize mentorship and the continued development of clinical skills and knowledge.
