Demonstrates the ability to build trusting collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs. Actively participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings. Demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to apply evidence-based guidelines and standards and regulatory standards (CMS, DNV-GL, OSHA, etc.) when assessing the environment, observing patient care activities and processes, developing policy and procedure and educating staff and physicians across the continuum of care. Ensures correct isolation procedures are practiced. Conducts EOC audits. Provides feedback and guidance to leaders regarding infection prevention issues. Develops or assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Infection Prevention Plan.
