Conduct surgical follow-ups, hospital rounds, write orders, taking call as required. Evaluate and clarify clinical signs and symptoms, formulate and implement a treatment plan and/or therapeutic plan for inpatients, dictate discharge summaries, histories and physicals. Authorization to order, prescribe, dispense, and administer medications that are within the Orthopaedic scope of practice. Authorization to prescribe the controlled substances under schedules: 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 and 5. Evaluate, screen and counsel patients on health maintenance and promote and assist patient in utilizing community services whenever appropriate, participate in IRB approved research studies, manage databases and perform quality assurance. Qualifications Master's Degree. Three to five years experience in direct patient care required. One to two years’ experience in expanded nursing role i.e. completing physical exams preferred.
