Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) - Outpatient Clinics

Position Summary Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Use professional nursing judgment to individualize the plan of care based on assessment of the patients baseline needs and response to care. Delegate tasks and supervises the activities of unlicensed care providers. Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care including equipment and material resources. Leads/guides licensed practical nurses, nurse aides and ancillary associates in the delivery of patient care. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Assist the Nurse Manager in promoting safe, cost effective, quality patient care. Minimum Requirements American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Graduated from an accredited Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing- or higher. Licensed by the NCBON. American Heart Association Basic Life Support upon hire, American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred. The facility offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7-bed emergency department serves approximately 15,000 patients per year and team members at the facility have access to a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
