Orient and supervise the caregiver providing care to the client including specialized equipment in complex care cases. Participate in creating daily client visit schedule based on needs and requirements. When cancellations occur, proactively work with office managers to fill schedule gaps. Complete and turn in all documentation and paperwork within 24 business hours. Report findings, recommendations, and concerns to care team accordingly. Create, review, and update care plans for assigned clients. Communicate updated to caregivers as needed. Act as liaison between contract nurses, clients, direct care workers and management. Provide education, training and coaching to caregiving staff during placement and supervision visits. As schedule allows take on routine nursing visits as client needs dictate or managers request such as medication fills, BP checks, catheter changes etc.… In urgent situations, be willing to provide hands on personal care for clients in need. We are looking for a Full-Time Unit Manager to join our team! Job Duties The Unit Manager is responsible for the day to day coordination oversight of all aspects of his/her assigned clinical unit. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Ensure that required staffing levels are met for each shift on a daily basis needed to render care for the number of residents assigned to her/his responsibility. Make sure that staffing level adjustments are made each shift as needed and the Federal required posted schedule is adjusted to reflect current actual staffing. Attend, participate and lead the weekly resident "At Risk" meeting ensures resident care and condition concerns are identified, interventions are appropriate to cause and follow up is completed. Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list/conduct and document RN assessments as needed. Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary. Administer medication according to procedure if applicable. Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary. Conduct oversight of Charge Nurse and CNA performances. Contributes to and promotes positive resident and family relations. Other duties may be assigned by manager. Specific Requirements: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills. Must have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilizes appropriately. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
