Ensure that the C.N.A.’s refer to the resident’scare plan prior to administering daily care to the resident.Make a written and oral report/recommendation concerning the activities of you shift as required.Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required.Complete accident/incident reports as necessary. Appropriately notify/inform supervisory staff.Perform administrative duties such as completing 30 day summaries and edits as necessary.Encourage attending physicians to review treatment plans, record and sign their orders, progress notes, etc., in accordance with established policies.Receive telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physician’s Order Form.Accurately transcribe physician’s orders to resident charts, Kardex, medication cards, treatment/care plans, as required.Chart nurse’s notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident’s response to the care. Report all discrepancies noted concerning physician’s orders, diet, charting error, etc., to the Nursing Supervisor.Sign and date all entries made in the resident’s medical record.Ensure that an adequate supply of medications is on hand to meet the nursing needs of the residents. Properly order medications in a timely fashion per pharmacy guidelines.Ensure that the narcotic records are accurate for your shift. Notify the Nurse Supervisor of all drug and narcotic discrepancies noted on your shift.Review MAR for completeness of information, accuracy in the transcription of the physician’s order and necessary initials to indicate doses administered.Dispose of drugs and narcotics as required and in accordance with established procedures.Responds to complaints and grievances made by family or responsible parties. Report to nursing supervisor as necessary. Overview A Licensed Practical Nurse bears full responsibility for the quality of health care they provide to the residents at Seven Hills Pediatric Center. A Licensed Practical Nurse may delegate nursing activities to assigned health care personnel. The delegating Licensed Practical Nurse shall bear full responsibility for making an appropriate assignment, adequately teaching, directing and supervising the delegate(s), as well as the outcome of that delegation; all within the parameters of their generic and continuing education and experience. Pay: $40.19/hour Responsibilities •Assess and coordinate healthcare services for Program Manager.
