The RN plays a critical role in maintaining the physical health, safety, and well-being of youth ages 12–18 with complex medical and behavioral needs. Responsibilities include providing daily nursing care, supervising LPNs, coordinating medical appointments, managing medications, supporting training and onboarding of staff, assisting with nursing schedules, and responding to medical or behavioral crises requiring nursing intervention. The RN ensures that each resident’s medical and behavioral care plan is implemented effectively in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
