OB/GYN - Fertility Full Time 88058BR Job Summary Under the supervision of the UCSF Department of OB/GYN, REI guided by the policies and procedures, rules and regulations, and bylaws of the UCSF Medical Center, some Nursing Policies, and, Medical Staff Policies, and any unique ambulatory patient services this Nurse Practitioner (NP) position is assigned to in the Center for Reproductive Health (CRH). This AHP position may perform delegated functions as appropriate to their "scope of practice". In general, the "scope of practice" includes the management of chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical procedures per approved standardized procedures as identified by the list available on the Medical Staff Office website. The CIDP approved standardized procedures are unique to each person and are unlikely to include ALL SPs on the list. This position may provide patient care in approved age groups and UCSF Health licensed settings. The AHP has responsibility for the quality of standards of care for a specified patient population and evidences self-direction and accountability in the development of this role within the all UCSF medical center locations. UCSF Health requires all Advanced Health Practitioners (AHP) to be credentialed through its Medical Staff Services Office (MSSO) in order to practice and function in their clinical role. BCH Ambulatory Services comprises practices with faculty from many different academic departments across the UCSF School of Medicine including pediatrics, neurology, surgery, orthopedics, otolaryngology, urology, ophthalmology and neurosurgery. To improve access to service in the community and remain competitive in the Bay Area regional marketplace, BCH Ambulatory Services is expanding into both affiliate and satellite locations which will entail different models of activation and clinical oversite. This position plays a leadership role in ensuring alignment with clinical services and workflows so there is consistency across the BCH Ambulatory enterprise. This position is 100% on-site and must be able to travel to multiple locations, such as San Francisco and Oakland. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Registered Nurse in the State of California and / or licensure in relevant clinical specialty. BLS PALS Strong clinic / center patient care management skills. Practice management knowledge in scheduling, customer-service methods, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and / or information technology. Broad knowledge of patient population served and the requirements for the delivery of services. Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a climate for effective communication and collaborative decision making. Strong leadership, fiscal, and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management, and staff from all disciplines. Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration, and co Knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing, and compliance environments. Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree preferred. Certified Pediatric Nurse or Pediatric Nursing Certification (PED-BC) Knowledge of current and emerging best practices and technologies in the clinic / center healthcare industry. 3-5 years of pediatric clinical experience 2-3 years of progressive supervisory experience License/Certification Registered Nurse in the State of California and / or licensure in relevant clinical specialty.
