Day - 10 Hour (United States of America) Ambulatory Colorectal Surgery Advanced Practice Provider We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our colorectal surgery team. Our specialty practice focuses on surgical treatment of patients with both malignant and benign disorders of the bowel including colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, polyposis syndromes, anorectal disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction. Our team has advanced expertise in complex surgical techniques including minimally invasive and robotic surgery. The APP will work alongside a team of attending surgeons and residents in both the hospital and outpatient settings. The APP will be responsible for all aspects of patient care, including obtaining a history/ physical exam, management of patients in the pre-operative and post-operative settings, evaluation of acute complaints and coordination of care and discharge planning. This is a challenging, exciting and rewarding position with great potential for growth and an opportunity to be an integral part of a cohesive team. The job is a four day/week, 10-hour day without call or weekends. Opportunities for additional learning, research, participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards and mentoring are available for the interested APP. Responsibilities include comprehensive history and physical examination, ordering and interpretation of diagnostic studies, and prescribing appropriate treatments in collaboration with the attending physician. Other responsibilities include consultation with specialist physicians and other team members regarding findings/changes in patient condition, initiation and adjustment of post-operative orders in collaboration with the physician, documentation of patient care/procedures per policy, and ensuring longitudinal communication with care team members and referring providers. Registered Nurse (RN) Sub Acute is a licensed professional nurse directly under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services. The RN Supervisor is to assist the planning, organizing, developing and directing of nursing service to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. Registered Nurse (RN) Sub Acute GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: GENERAL • Assure that residents have a clean, safe, orderly and comfortable environment. • Initiate resident Plans of Care on admission. • Assist in implementing recommendations from consultants and the Quality Assurance team as directed by the Director of Nursing Services. • Assist in developing, reviewing, revising an updating resident Plans of Care for individual residents. • Ensure that notification is given to the resident’s attending/alternate physician, as well as the resident’s legal guardian/representative, when the resident becomes critically ill, injured, etc., or has a significant change in condition as outlined within our established policies. • Review complaints and grievances form families and notify the Director of Nursing Services as necessary. • Evaluate emergencies and assist in implementing emergency measures. • Assure that the unit area is maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience, by ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform nursing care. • Assist in notification of physician of any resident incidents/unusual occurrences.
