Requirements: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York with specialization in Psychiatry (PMHNP). Ability to work independently and effectively manage a caseload of patients. Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment modalities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Provide medical care according to established protocols and standards of care. Provide recommended age appropriate preventative care services that include history taking, examinations, counseling, screenings, testing and other preventative services. Obtain appropriate histories, clinical examinations, diagnostic tests, and make appropriate referrals for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic disorders. Requirements Master’s degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Unrestricted New York State Nurse Practitioner license. Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of the practice.
