Description Maine Medical Center Nursing Req #: 60296 This is a bargaining unit position Date posted: 12/12/2025 FT/Nights For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience! Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. oCurrent MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Unit Bio:P6 (Pavilion 6) is the 21 bed Inpatient Medical Psychiatry unit at Maine Medical Center. Over the years it has evolved from a traditional psychiatric unit to one that serves an increasingly medically complex population with a particular emphasis on Geriatric Psychiatry. All patients on P6 have both a major psychiatric illness, as well as a medical comorbidity that requires an inpatient level of care. In accordance with national standards of nursing practice and within the guidelines and policies and procedures of both Maine Medical Center and the Maine State Board of Nursing, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of the effects of nursing care. Care delivery and coordination of patient and family care begins with the initial contact with the health care system and may continue across the continuum. Services may be provided on an inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and/or community basis. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Evidence of 10 hours of ongoing education per year. License/Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Maine. Certification in relevant specialty preferred. Experience: At least 1 year prior RN work experience. Meets all requirements of Clinical Nurse I. Completion of Level I usually achieved by 12 months of employment. Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred. Inpatient geriatric or medical psychiatry experience strongly preferred. Basic knowledge of the research base, theory, practices, principles, and processes of professional nursing. Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Analytical ability sufficient to identify changes in patients’ conditions and to initiate appropriate action. Ability to identify potential crisis situations involving patients and/or families and to initiate appropriate action. Demonstrates a caring nursing practice and promotes a healing environment for patients and families. Demonstrates the required knowledge and technical skills to care for most patient populations on the unit. Description MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford, ME is currently recruiting for an experienced ICU Per Diem Physician Associate/Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our Special Care Unit (SCU). Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required; master's degree preferred;successful completion of accredited Physician Associate/Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program;current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure;current BLS certification; at least 2 year's experience working in an ICU is mandatory.
