Facility: BayCare HomeCare Location: Tampa, FL Status: Full Time Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM / Monday - Fridays Weekend Work: 1 Weekend Rotation a month On Call: Yes Responsibilities The Home Health RN provides hands-on care in the home for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards and protocols. Responsibilities include: Oversee the activities of the multi-disciplinary team that provides care to the patient Monitor the provision of therapeutic services through written and verbal communication with all disciplines Ensure that all visits scheduled and provided are authorized and covered by physician orders Review of patient visits weekly and providing plan to Patient Care Supervisor and team assistant, including anticipated weekend visits Inform the scheduler of any schedule changes and communicates caseload and patient care issues to Home Care Supervisor Required Certifications and Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support) RN (Registered Nurse) License Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire) Education Required Associate's or Diploma Nursing Preferred Bachelor's Nursing Experience Required 1 year Registered Nurse Preferred 1 year Home Care Why join BayCare HomeCare? They play an essential role in the total quality of client/family coordination of care in a multidisciplinary method under the supervision of the nursing staff and the program coordinator. The seasonal Care Support staff is made up of Caregivers, Childcare Teachers, and Nurse Assistants. This position provides direct client care and is responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living that promotes the child's independence. Care Support staff encourage engagement in developmentally appropriate activities and collaborate in the planning of a daily schedule. Summer at The Kidz Club PPEC is filled with planned activities, themes, and field trips, providing excellent experiences for those interested in healthcare, teaching, or therapy. Qualifications The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner. Basic personal computer skills and comfort with learning electronic charting systems. Childcare and/or Healthcare experience preferred. A current negative Tuberculosis test (PPD) is required. Current CPR (Basic Life Support) is required. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Care Provider Background Screening through the Florida Background Screening Clearinghouse.
