Adult hospitalists provide excellent 24/7 coverage and support to our nursing team. Responsibilities Supervises nursing personnel activities daily and participates in the delivery of general nursing duties. Administers prescribed medications and treatment following approved nursing procedures and physician order. Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of conditions and significant incidents. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examinations of patients. Assesses patient vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determines patient progress. Has daily responsibility in areas of personnel assignments, supervises licensed and non-licensed personnel, patient placement, cost containment, patient and family education and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Work requires a basic knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, nursing interventions, pharmacology, methods utilized for delivering nursing care and the management of patients and personnel Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Indiana RN licensure required Work requires the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms BLS certification Benefits We believe that work-life balance is critical to fulfilling our values of excellence and service.
