We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Surgery Center. Job Summary: Responsible to plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients in the Endoscopy nursing role. Provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit. May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include but are not limited to providing patient care in other peri-operative departments, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement projects. Responsibilities The Perioperative RN is responsible for managing the care of the pediatric and adult patient requiring a surgical procedure. The Perioperative RN is a professional nurse who is directly or indirectly responsible for delivering total nursing care to the perioperative patient during various phases of the perioperative stay. The Perioperative RN participates in the clinical assessment, planning for care, implantation of appropriate nursing techniques and evaluation of nursing interventions. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum of 1 year previous Perioperative RN experience preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association. ACLS within 6 months of employment. Responsibilities The MDS Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of the minimum data set and all required resident assessment instruments per state and federal regulations. The MDS Coordinator provides direction to licensed nurses, non-professional nursing personnel and ancillary departments to ensure all staff are aware of, and competent in, their roles under the Prospective Payment System; and PDPM System. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited nursing program (vocational nursing, ADN, BSN, etc.). MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE One years clinical experience on a skilled nursing unit and/or with long-term care patients. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or OakBend Managing Codes Program. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Computer Skills Necessary. PDPM Training Required within 6 months.
