Full time/72 hours per pay Nights 7:00pm-7:30am The Critical Care Unit is a 25-bed inpatient nursing unit specializing in the care of adult medical/surgical patients and cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgical patients. The unit is equipped to provide post operative care and recovery of cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical patients including open heart, thoracotomy, endarterectomy as well as percutaneous cardiac intervention and acute myocardial infarction. Patients that are admitted to the critical care unit here may require all or any of the following: intensive monitoring of lab values, hemodynamic pressure monitoring, mechanical ventilation, administration and titration of vasoactive and/or neuromuscular blocking agents or recovery from anesthesia.
